Project 4
So our group has decided to do our website for project 4 as a Freshman's Guide to Morgantown. That, coincidentally is also the name of our website. We are going to cover some of the basics, like good places to eat, where to go shopping and good deals, directions and shortcuts for Morgantown, and the nightlife. Our homepage is going to have links for all of these topics, which will have separate pages of information. The homepage is also going to have a link to the WVU website and links to our sports pages. The directions site is going to have links to Google Maps which is going to show all of the restaurants, clubs and places to go shopping that we talked about. The information for the pages that we are making is going to be pretty easy to collect since we have all been to these places before. The site is going to be easily accessible and it doesn't need to have an elaborate interface for the user because they are looking for specific information rather than just playing around on the site.

Online persona
I think that my online persona is going to be named Cally. I would like her to be younger than me, maybe a senior in high school. I would also like her to be an aspiring writer. I think the things that she is going to write are going to be short works of fiction. Little scenes and maybe a couple of medium sized stories. She lives in New Orleans so most of her writing ends up having a ghost or a creature in it. She lives with her mother and her older brother and so she adds a lot of heroes into her stories that sound like him. She is home schooled because her mother doesn't see the point in putting her through the public school system in New Orleans.

Project 2
For this project I am editing the pictures more than I have uploaded anything. I realize that I need to work on that, and I need to decide how I want them to be linked. My story isn't exactly a story it is more of a question for the reader. I would like the pages to give different common ideas of beauty and then at the end challenge the reader's normal idea of beauty. I would like to be able to put more than five pictures into this project. I am working on making a photo mosaic of faces as a sort of introduction to the project/main page and then using scenes as the next page. I would like to show pictures of children as a beauty ideal in the next frame and then for the fourth one I would like to have pets. For the last set of pictures I would like to show pictures of some things that are not conventional beauty to emphasize that these pictures are beautiful as well.

What I need to do...
Currently I have three pages of my project online. The first one is the index. html file containing just thoughts about a topic. I picked Royce, my dog so all of the pages have to do with him. The next thing I have is the list.html file. This is a list of some of the associations that I have with Royce. Then comes the page3 file. I called it that because I want another link to come before it. It is about how much I don't like leaving for school because everyone in my house gets sad, including the dog. I would like to write a page about past pets and what they mean to me. I would also like to change the first file to be thoughts about home as opposed to Royce, that way the links I have make sense. The other thing that I would like to write is a narrative about what my house looks like.

Leaving Again
Home is the place that your heart is. Well, what happens if your heart is in two different places at once.
After being in college for three years you think that I would have gotten used to leaving and coming home again. Well, it isn't that easy. I am a senior and I still have trouble saying goodbye at the end of the summer. It isn't the friends at home or the parties that I miss; its my family. My mom and sister and I are so close that people tell us we look like best friends rather than a mother and her daughters. Family, to me, is so important. It is as necessary as breathing, and the first priority in my life. My mother and my sister happen to agree with my opinion so it is interesting trying to put someone first in your life when they are trying to put you first at the same time. Now make that three people. It is always a circus in our house, the three of us running in and out; to work and school and social events. The best part is that we make it work and we are still a family. When I come home during the school year, we always go out to dinner, just the three of us and spend time together. My mother and I take walks with the dogs in the park. My sister and I go shopping together. It is really great to be able to know that you know so much about the lives of the people that you live with. Or don't live with as the case may be, but they still include me in their plans and their hopes and dreams. I talk on the phone with each of them at least three times a week and that means more to me than any other relationship that I have in this world. I even talk to the dogs on the phone once a week. My Roycie misses me. I think that he is the only dog that I know that will listen for a certain voice when someone is on the phone. They tell me he always looks so happy when I talk to him on the phone.
